ABOUT
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
John Patrick Brogan is a business owner whose insight comes from running, sustaining, and steering organizations where outcomes–not ideas–define success. His perspective is forged in the trenches of decision-making under constraint, uncertainty, and pressure, where every choice has real life financial and human consequences.
Brogan has led teams, managed risk, allocated capital, and confronted operational breakdowns that immediately impact cash flow, performance, and morale. He has seen bow leadership clarity or its absence changes the trajectory of an organization, and how small failures can spiral into systemic collapse if not diagnosed and corrected early. His focus is on restoring clarity of control, aligning people and incentives, and building resilient operational systems that function when conditions deteriorate.
In The Biology of Business, Brogan draws directly from his experience as a business owner to explain why companies behave less like machines and more like living systems–and why survival depends on understanding and managing the organization from the inside out.
